On July 14, Cheung Kong Property Holdings (CKP) announced its proposal to changethe company name to “CK Asset Holdings Limited”, in an effort to better reflect itsstrategy “to achieve long-term sustainable business growth and value creation”through property businesses and worldwide investments with stable revenue,including infrastructure and aircraft leasing. CKP also announced that on July 13, itcompleted a C$2.82bn (HK$16.4bn) acquisition of Reliance Home Comfort, aCanadian home appliance company, in which it has proposed on-selling a 25% staketo its sister company CKI. CKP says it will provide more information in a circular byearly August, along with scheduling an EGM.
